On Saturday it was Stoke AA’s presentation evening at the working men’s club and I always think it’s nice to get together and celebrate the years achievements and trophy winners.
Chairman Chris welcomed everyone and thanked the club members for all their hard work swim clearing along with raising a fantastic £2000 for Yeovil Hospital Oncology Unit (the Nugget-O-Meter contributed £700 towards the total so I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has got involved over the last year, it really is appreciated) plus £534 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, well done everyone!

Chris White was the Club Champion and also received the A Gardner Match Specimen Shield

I was well chuffed to finally get my name on the Memorial Shield (along with the Novice Shield, Axminster Cup, Aggregate Shield and the Autumn Triple trophy

Chris Norton won the President’s Trophy (and the J. Irish trophy)

Mike Goad won the Evening Cup, Committee Cup and the River Pairs Shield (with Derek Goad)

Terry Morgan won the Simm’s Silvers trophy and the Lake’s Pairs Cup (with Steve Chant)

Steve Parker won Dave’s Cup and the Silvers Bowl

Dave Pope receiving the Huntsman Cup

Steve Chant won the Goodman’s Golden Oldies and the Lakes Pairs Cup (with Terry Morgan)

Derek Goad won the River Pairs Shield (with Mike Goad)
Other trophy winners who couldn’t make it were,

After all the trophies were presented, we all enjoyed a fantastic buffet laid on by the club, another great evening with Stoke AA.
